Overview

Ding Xian Seafood Restaurant 顶鲜海鲜饭店, nestled in the heart of Klang’s Taman Berkeley, offers a refined take on traditional Chinese seafood cuisine. Located conveniently just steps away from the famed Berkeley Cake House, this restaurant presents an inviting haven for families, seafood enthusiasts, and those seeking a comfortable dining environment.

The menu is a thoughtful journey through fresh, vibrant flavors. Signature dishes like the 清蒸龙虎班 (Steam Dragon Tiger Grouper) capture the essence of seafood freshness, while the Kung Pao Mantis Shrimp delivers a balanced kick of spice and texture. Other highlights such as the Clay Pot Curry Fish and Black Pepper Pork showcase skilled cooking methods that preserve aroma and tenderness, creating memorable tastes without overwhelming the palate.

The atmosphere at Ding Xian is both cozy and well-ventilated, thanks to air conditioning that ensures comfort even during warmer days. Space is modest, encouraging an early visit or reservation, a service streamlined by the attentive and responsive management. This creates a relaxed yet polished dining experience that appeals to both casual diners and those celebrating special occasions.

The restaurant excels in portion size and freshness. As noted by regular patrons, dishes such as the fish head and prawn noodles arrive generous and brimming with vitality. The interplay of textures and flavors is thoughtfully curated — from crisp vegetables like Siew Pak Choi to more unique offerings like 龙眼海底椰, which add a traditional touch to the meal.

While most dishes garner praise for their delicate balance and authenticity, a few like the claypot pork belly with salted fish might feel less impactful, highlighting the kitchen’s transparency in serving food hot and fresh over complexity. The service is friendly and efficient, enhancing the overall experience without overpowering it.

Ding Xian Seafood Restaurant is ideally suited for diners who appreciate quality seafood prepared with care, in a setting that is intimate yet approachable. It blends traditional Chinese flavors with a modern dining touch, making it a compelling destination for those exploring Klang’s rich culinary scene.

If you are looking for a respectable seafood restaurant which is quite cosy and reasonably priced, this is the place to go. Garlic fish and mantis prawn here is super yummy. Space is limited, so need to go early to get a table.

Food is good except the Claypot pork belly with salted fish. Taste is a bit lacking and It’s not that fragrant. Love that the food is served hot.

The fish head and prawns noodles portion is big and both the fish head and prawns are fresh. Chicken chop with Thai chilies sauce and shredded mango is refreshing. Yam basket is fluffy but the prawns mantis are a bit salty. Overall the food is good and the price is around 100 for 4 persons. Service and friendly staff.

Asam fish here is good , taste balance which not lost the freshness of fish while maintaining the overall taste of asam and vege . Well mixed of all ingredients. Black pepper pork is ok but the teow chew steam lala is less of kicking even though the lala is well cleaned , may be i more prefer superior soup lala style , rm101 for dinner

I booked three tables in advance to celebrate Parents' Day. The service staff introduced several dishes, all of which were suitable for my appetite, and my family members were satisfied. Everyone had a good time eating, the food was served quickly, and the environment was comfortable. I recommend everyone to come and try it
